Community Vegetable Garden - Esigcalabeni A community vegetable garden has been developed and maintained by 15 women. |

16 Days of Activism Campaign - stop violence against women and children 25 November 2008 - 10 December 2008 - KwaSani Municipality (Stepmore, Lotheni and Umqatsheni of Sisonke District) KZNPPHC with the support of Foundation For Human Rights will engage in campaign by organizing workshops for men, women and children in remote villages of KwaSani Municipality. Donation VSO through KZNPPHC donated R14000 to Orphan and Vulnerable Children, who performed traditional dances and conveyed the message of HIV at Stepmore Village. The funding was used to purchase traditional attire. |

The need has arisen when the Department of Health KZN could no longer supervise and maintain this program and they wanted the program to be continued as it made a difference in the communities. |

| Learnership Program
KZNPPHC has as agreement with Health and Welfare Seta to train the following learnerships: Ancillary Health care, Enrolled Nursing Assistent, Enrolled Nurse and Bridging for Professional Nurses. We are also in partnership with McCord Hospital and St. Michaelmas Hospital. |

This is an Intergrated Development HIV and AIDS Prevention and Awareness program and is funded by Oxfam Australia. |

| Hostel Residence HIV and AIDS Peer Educators Program
This program operates in 9 eThekwini Hostels with the aim of disseminating information on HIV and AIDS and related concepts. The core activities include peer education, condom distribution, basic counseling and basic support and care. |

Capacity Building of NPOs/ CBOs The program involves training and mentorship of NPOs/CBOs & CHCs around health issues. |
